The 12-year-old Dictador Icon Reserve is distilled from the fermentation of ‘Suger Cane Honey’ – a honey-like sugar cane syrup which, unlike molasses, is an extract of fresh sugar cane juice. Distillation takes place partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks, using the column distillation process. This results in a medium-bodied rum with a pleasantly aromatic character. The rum is aged in American oak casks. To ensure that all the secrets remain locked within the liquid’s aroma, the bottles are then filled under the strictest quality control. Unlike many other ‘mainstream rums’ available today, Dictador rum is not sweetened. Nevertheless, it possesses a slight natural sweetness, which makes it particularly harmonious.

Tasting Note

Colour: Intense amber with reddish hues.

Nose: Robust aromas, smooth caramel, dried seeds, a hint of roasted coffee, honey, and oak notes.

Palate: Smooth and complex notes, caramel, cocoa, honey, hints of coffee and oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, complex, with light notes of oak.
