The renowned Gratien & Meyer house, based in Saumur, looks back on a rich history dating back to 1864 and is regarded as a specialist in high-quality sparkling wines that captivate with their French joie de vivre and refined elegance.

The selected grapes – primarily 35% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay and 30% Cabernet Franc – come from the finest vineyard sites along the Loire and are carefully harvested by hand. Traditional bottle fermentation gives this Crémant its fine effervescence, pleasant structure and its typical, elegant character. In doing so, Gratien & Meyer combines artisanal skill with modern winemaking techniques, thereby guaranteeing the highest quality in every bottle.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Gratien & Meyer Crémant de Loire Brut displays a light, radiant golden-yellow colour with green highlights and an extremely fine, elegant perlage. Its delicate bouquet reveals appealing aromas of fresh green apples, pears and citrus fruits, accompanied by subtle hints of acacia blossom, white flowers and a delicate note of yeast. On the palate, it impresses with a creamy, silky texture, balanced acidity and a fresh, well-integrated minerality. Its elegant finish is pleasantly long, clean and characterised by delicate toasted notes.
