Gérard Bertrand’s Prima Nature Grenache Rosé 2024 is a characterful, certified organic rosé wine from the south of France, which focuses entirely on nature, purity and expressiveness. It is produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon region – a landscape whose abundant sunshine, Mediterranean climate and limestone-rich soils provide ideal conditions for Grenache, which comes into its own here as a single-varietal wine in its purest form.

What makes this Linie special is that vinification takes place entirely without the addition of sulphur or oenological additives – a novelty in the conventional wine world. The winemaking process is exceptionally precise and meticulous, ensuring that the aromatic potential of the Grenache grape variety is fully preserved. The result is a wine that embodies true naturalness – vegan, certified organic and free from added sulphur, yet stable and a pleasure to drink. With an alcohol content of 13 % vol., the wine is dry whilst remaining fruit-forward and approachable.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the 2024 vintage displays a delicate, pale pink colour with brilliant clarity. The nose reveals subtle aromas of raspberries, fresh strawberries and a hint of floral notes reminiscent of wildflowers. On the palate, it is soft, round and harmonious, with a delicate interplay of fruit and a light, lively freshness that makes the wine particularly approachable. The finish is fragrant, fresh and elegant – a very successful expression of the Grenache grape variety.

This fresh, fruit-forward rosé pairs superbly with light starters, fresh salads, Asian-inspired dishes or even exotic cuisine featuring fruit elements. It also makes a stylish accompaniment as an aperitif on warm days or with a Mediterranean brunch. The recommended serving temperature is 10 °C to bring out its full range of flavours.
