The Santa Teresa 1796 Rum Solera is a multi-award-winning premium rum from Venezuela and is considered one of the most elegant bottlings in Latin America. It is produced at the traditional Hacienda Santa Teresa, which was founded in 1796 and is still family-owned today. This miniature edition offers the full character of the original in a handy format - perfect for getting to know or giving as a gift.
The rum is produced using the elaborate Solera process, which originally comes from sherry production. Younger and older rums are blended together over a period of years to achieve an exceptionally harmonious depth and complexity. The Santa Teresa 1796 matures in carefully selected oak barrels, which gives it its velvety structure, warm colour and rich aroma spectrum. With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., it is full-bodied, smooth and elegant - a rum that reflects Venezuelan craftsmanship and perfection in every drop.
Tasting Note
Colour: Deep mahogany with reddish-golden reflections.
Nose: Complex and seductive with aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and a hint of black pepper.
Flavour: Silky and round with notes of toffee, honey, nuts, dried fruit and a delicate woody sweetness.
Finish: Langs, warm and elegant with fine notes of vanilla, spices and dark chocolate.
The Santa Teresa 1796 Solera Rum unfolds its full flavour neat at room temperature or on ice in a nosing glass.
