Dellavalle Grappa Barbera comes from the tradition-conscious Distilleria Dellavalle in Vigliano d'Asti in the heart of Piedmont and presents itself as a convincing, typical representative of a Barbera grappa matured in barrels. The distillery, run by Roberto Dellavalle, only processes high-quality Barbera marc, which is distilled in small stills to preserve its flavour. The result is a first-class grappa with a pleasant nose, full body and a harmonious combination of fruit, warmth and gentle barrel flavour. Bottled at 42 per cent by volume, this Grappa Barbera has a mild, balanced character that is characterised by the natural properties of the grape variety.


Maturation in selected barriques gives the distillate an elegant golden colour as well as additional softness and depth. The typical Barbera expression blends with subtle woody notes to create a round, full-bodied overall picture. This makes this grappa one of Dellavalle's bottlings with a strong character, yet pleasantly accessible.

This Dellavalle Grappa Barbera is an excellent accompaniment to Italian pastries such as amaretti or cantuccini and is ideal as a digestif after a Mediterranean meal. It also harmonises well with espresso, dark chocolate or mild cheeses. Served neat, its clear, fruity Barbera flavours really come into their own.
