The Allesverloren Shiraz 2021 13.5% is a characterful South African red wine from the Swartland, a wine-growing region steeped in tradition in the Western Cape. It is made exclusively from Shiraz grapes and comes from the historic Allesverloren Wine Estate near Riebeek West. The estate has a long history: the farm was founded as early as 1704 and has been owned by the Malan family since 1872. The warm, dry climate of the Swartland provides excellent conditions for the Shiraz grape variety and enables the production of concentrated, well-structured red wines. Allesverloren is one of the region’s established producers and is particularly renowned for its powerful red wines.

In the 0.75 l bottle, the Allesverloren Shiraz 2021 presents itself as a dry, full-bodied red wine with a pronounced structure and harmoniously integrated oak influence. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Allesverloren Shiraz 2021 displays a deep red colour with bluish-violet highlights. On the nose, aromas of plums, blackberries and wild raspberries unfold, accompanied by black pepper, spices, tobacco, bay leaf, cocoa and subtle oak notes. On the palate, the Shiraz is elegant and full-bodied, with a soft tannin structure and harmoniously integrated oak. The finish is balanced and long-lasting.

The Allesverloren Shiraz 2021 is an excellent accompaniment to grilled or pan-fried beef, lamb and hearty game dishes. This spicy Shiraz from the Swartland pairs particularly well with beef steak, braised venison, roe deer or oven-roasted lamb. Its structured, fruit-driven character also makes it a perfect match for hearty grilled meat dishes and substantial stews. Serving it at a temperature of around 15–18 °C brings out its structure and spice beautifully.
