Tasting Note

Deep black ruby in the glass. On the nose, cherry and blueberries with subtle fruit intensity. On the palate, it is distinctly creamy and fruit-forward, with notes of dark chocolate and well-integrated acidity. The finish is elegantly balanced and long-lasting.

The Bolla Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2023 pairs superbly with braised beef, pasta with rich meat sauces or oven-roasted lamb dishes. It also pairs very well with game ragout or roast pork, where its creamy texture and fruitiness really come into their own. This Ripasso from Veneto also harmonises beautifully with mature hard cheeses or tangy cheeses. On its own, it is a delight during quiet moments of indulgence when an elegant Italian red wine with depth and a balanced structure is called for.
