The Ardnahoe 5 Years Old is bottled at cask strength (61%) and is not heavily diluted, which preserves the original flavour of the distillate. Maturation takes place in selected oak casks, which give the whisky a balanced combination of smoke, sweetness and spice. Typical of Islay whisky, there is also a clear peat note here, which is combined with maritime and malty influences. It is supplied in a high-quality gift box, which emphasises the special character of this bottling.
