Ron Zacapa Centenario EDICIÓN NEGRA Sistema Solera Gran Reserva is an exceptional premium rum from Guatemala, with an alcohol content of 43 per cent, available in a 1-litre bottle. It is produced from virgin sugar cane honey – the first juice extracted from the sugar cane – which is prized for its natural sweetness and aromatic depth. Maturation takes place according to the famous Solera method at an altitude of over 2,300 metres in the so-called ‘House Above the Clouds’, where the cool highland climate allows for a particularly slow and consistent development in the casks. For the Edición Negra, selected rums are additionally matured in heavily charred (double-charred) American oak casks as well as ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. This special process gives the bottling its more intense, spicier and darker character, setting it apart clearly from the classic Zacapa bottlings.

Ron Zacapa Edición Negra delights with a powerful bouquet that combines toasted oak, dark cocoa and spices with Zacapa’s characteristic elegance. The intensive barrel treatment produces pronounced toasted aromas, whilst subtle notes of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla provide balance and depth.
