Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2023 14% ABV 0.75 l online kaufen
The Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2023 14 % is a time-honoured Tuscan red wine from the Chianti Classico region, with Sangiovese forming the basis alongside complementary grape varieties. The history of Villa Antinori dates back to the 1928 vintage and embodies the Antinori family’s commitment to combining tradition with continuous innovation. For the 2023 vintage, the harvest began in the second half of September with Sangiovese and ended in the second week of October with the other grape varieties. Following destemming and gentle crushing, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 28–30 °C. Maceration lasted approximately 10 to 14 days, with the aim of achieving controlled extraction of structure and tannins.
Following malolactic fermentation, the individual lots were blended and aged in wood until late spring 2025, predominantly in large oak casks and, to a lesser extent, in barriques. Bottling of the vintage began in July 2025. With an alcohol content of 14% in the 0.75-litre bottle, the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2023 combines the classic heritage of Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva with a long ageing period and the Antinori family’s centuries-old winemaking tradition. This vintage is therefore particularly suited to lovers of structured Sangiovese wines from Tuscany who are seeking a classic Chianti Classico with pronounced ageing potential and versatile pairing possibilities.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2023 displays a brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose, morello cherry and candied orange combine with delicate nuances of vanilla, rose and mallow blossoms, as well as a complex, spicy backdrop of liquorice, cedarwood and caramel. On the palate, this red wine is rich and enveloping, yet balanced and elegant, with silky, delicately spiced tannins. The finish is long-lasting, vigorous and characterised by subtle oaky notes.
The Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2023 pairs particularly well with beef, lamb, game and hearty Italian meat dishes. Recommended pairings include, for example, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised beef, pappardelle with wild boar ragout or a mature Pecorino Toscano. A serving temperature of around 16–18 °C helps to balance the wine’s structure, freshness and oak ageing; this young vintage may also benefit from a little time to breathe before drinking. This makes Antinori’s Chianti Classico Riserva an excellent choice for Italian menus, festive dinners and special occasions.
