Don Papa MASSKARA 40% vol. is a characterful rum-based spirit from the Philippines, inspired by the colourful MassKara tradition in Negros Occidental. It is based on matured rum, which is refined with a separately produced pot-still infusion made from Filipino botanicals. A particularly defining element is the hand-picked calamansi, a citrus fruit common in the Philippines, which gives Don Papa Masskara its intense, vibrant citrus freshness. This is complemented by Siling Labuyo, a small, exceptionally aromatic Filipino chilli, whose heat adds an extra dimension to the sweet, fruity base. This combination blends Don Papa’s tropical origins with an unusual, distinctly botanical rum-based interpretation.

At 40% ABV, the Don Papa Masskara Spirit Drink is full-bodied yet lively, with fruity sweetness, candied citrus and spicy warmth blending harmoniously. The calamansi provides freshness and a slightly exotic tartness, whilst the Siling Labuyo chilli develops a subtle, warming heat, particularly in the finish. The colourful bottle design draws inspiration from the MassKara Festival of the same name in Negros Occidental and emphasises the Philippine identity of the spirit.
