Ramazzotti Amaro is a traditional Italian herbal liqueur that has been produced since 1815 according to a secret recipe. Originally created in Milan by Ausano Ramazzotti, it is now one of the best-known amari in the world. Its harmonious blend of 33 carefully selected herbs, roots and spices makes it the perfect after-dinner drink. The main ingredients include sweet and bitter orange peel, cinchona bark, star anise, vanilla and angelica, which give it its distinctive character.

With an alcohol content of 30% vol., Ramazzotti offers a perfect balance between spicy, sweet and slightly bitter flavours. Thanks to its versatility, it is a delight both on its own and in cocktails.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany brown.

Nose: Spicy herbs, sweet orange peel, delicate vanilla and aniseed notes.

Palate: Smooth, full-bodied, with a pleasant balance of sweetness and bitterness, notes of cinnamon, liquorice and subtle citrus hints.

Finish: Lang, slightly bitter, spicy with fruity orange and herbal notes.

Ramazzotti Amaro is traditionally enjoyed neat or on the rocks as a digestif after a meal. It pairs particularly well with citrus fruits or dark chocolate. It is also very popular as a long drink mixed with ginger ale, tonic water or lemonade. A classic is the Ramazzotti Rosso Tonic, served with tonic water and a slice of orange.

As well as in classic drinks, this herbal liqueur can also be used to enhance desserts such as tiramisu, chocolate mousse or fruit sauces.
