The Mossburn ISLAND blended malt Scotch whisky is an expressive bottling from the high-quality Mossburn Signature Casks range, which is known for its innovative cask maturation and stylistic precision. This series was developed to capture the characteristic features of the Scottish whisky regions and refine them with a special finish. Specially designed casks are used, which are manufactured according to Mossburn's own specifications.

The Island Blended Malt is based on a selection of characterful single malts from Scottish islands and was first matured in American oak casks. This was followed by a second maturation in Cask Bill #1 casks - bespoke, copper-lined oak casks specially developed for the Island malts. This second maturation intensifies the maritime, slightly smoky and spicy flavours for which the whiskies of the island region are known.

With an alcohol content of 46% vol., non-chill-filtered and without colouring, this blended malt is in its natural, unadulterated form - powerful, authentic and rich in detail. The stylish gift box also makes it a visual highlight for connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: Natural gold with a warm glow.

Nose: Fresh and maritime, with notes of seaweed, smoke, honey, green apples and spiced oak.

Flavour: Complex and balanced, with strong malt, citrus, peppery spice, wisps of smoke and slightly salty minerality.

Finish: Medium to long, spicy, slightly peaty, with an elegant, dry finish.
