"Prime" is a long-cherished dream; the transfer of the same emotions and flavours to a distillate that only the most famous Italian wines can offer.

In order to realise this dream, we collaborated with friendly producers. Step by step, the maturation of the distillates in their barrels was closely monitored and the exact same barrels that once contained the respective wines were used to preserve the original soul of each grape.

Typical Venetian packaging was chosen for the Prime to celebrate the area as the centre of a small world of commitment, research and development.

The raw material for this extremely delicate spirit is the aromatic Zibibbo grapes from Pantelleria, grown in the vineyards of Donnafugata. Divided into small crates, a quick journey in a refrigerated environment guarantees the purity of the grapes when they arrive at the distillery, within 48 hours of being harvested. They are then gently pressed and undergo controlled fermentation, followed by distillation in exclusive copper stills that are vacuum-sealed and operate at low temperatures.

Each processing step is designed to preserve the primary flavours of the particularly valuable grapes in the best possible way.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear, with a light golden shimmer.

Nose: Aromas of Zibibbo grape, nutmeg, citrus fruits, light floral notes.

Flavour: Fruity, sweet, citrus fruits, nutmeg, floral accents, harmonious and full-bodied.

Finish: Langs, sweet, with a fine, pleasant fruitiness and a light spiciness.

Bonaventura Maschio PRIME Zibibbo is ideal as an aperitif, neat or on ice, but can also be used as an ingredient in cocktails such as a Zibibbo Sour or a fruity Spritz. A distinctive liqueur brandy that reflects Italian tradition and is ideal both for pure enjoyment and for creative mixed drinks.
