Antica Sambuca Classic is a refined aniseed liqueur with an alcohol content of 38% vol. that combines the traditional art of sambuca production with innovative accents. Produced at the Rossi d'Asiago distillery in the Veneto region of Italy, the company was founded in 1968 by the visionary chemist Giovan Battista Rossi.

In 2001, Rossi modernised the recipe and launched the Antica Sambuca Classic in a new form on the market. The reinterpreted anise liqueur is based on a natural distillate enriched with aniseed and a careful selection of 15 spices and herbs, giving it its unmistakable flavour.

The Rossi d'Asiago distillery remains true to its philosophy, combining tradition and innovation to create a product that reflects Italy's rich history and culture while embodying the constant search for perfection and flavour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear and transparent with a slight sheen.

Nose: Intense aniseed notes combined with a subtle sweetness of herbs and spices that complete the first impression.

Taste: Soft and full-bodied, with dominant aniseed notes, complemented by a harmonious herbal spiciness and subtle spice flavours that are perfectly balanced.

Finish: Langs on the palate, with a gentle aniseed note that slowly recedes and leaves a pleasantly fresh aftertaste.

Antica Sambuca Classic is ideal for drinking neat or on ice to fully develop its intense flavours. It goes perfectly with dark chocolate, coffee or fruity desserts such as tiramisu or fruit tarts. In combination with coffee, it becomes a classic caffè corretto, giving it an extra dimension. This aniseed liqueur is also a surprisingly suitable accompaniment to mature cheese or smoked meat.
