The Glen Scotia Campbeltown 1832 Single Malt represents the traditional character of the historic Campbeltown whisky region and combines maritime freshness, fine smokiness and balanced sweetness in a harmonious overall profile. This bottling was first matured in fine American oak casks before a complementary finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This combination creates a single malt that has both spicy-woody and fruity accents and develops a pleasantly complex structure. The natural yellow gold colour is produced without any colouring and the bottling is non-chill-filtered, which means that the texture, depth and authentic aromas are fully preserved. The presentation in the matching gift box emphasises the special character of this edition.


The style of this Campbeltown single malt is deliberately straightforward and has a pleasant, finely balanced peaty flavour. On the nose, ash, smoke and caramel combine with fresh notes of pineapple and oak as well as mild nuances of dates, dried mango and vanilla cake. Earthy undertones, green peppercorns and a hint of cardamom complete the profile. Smoke and caramel reappear on the palate, accompanied by a hint of salty breeze, wood, subtle char and vanilla cake. Delicate traces of mango, cardamom and green pepper round off the flavour. Overall, it is pleasant, balanced and with well-defined complexity, without excessive sweetness or dominant smoke.

This Campbeltown single malt is ideal with smoked fish, grilled seafood or savoury meat dishes with roasted flavours, as its smoky and slightly salty structure complements these dishes perfectly. A mature cheese such as cheddar or flavoursome Gouda create a harmonious combination. Nutty desserts, chocolate tarts or pastries with a slight spiciness also go perfectly with its sherry and wood flavours. Enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water, it fully unfolds its maritime and peaty facets and has a long-lasting presence.
