This Black Spiced Rum is made from high-quality rum and enriched with a refined blend of spices, which gives it its intense and complex flavour profile. It combines warm notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves with spicy oak undertones and a subtle smokiness that sets it apart from conventional spiced rums. With an alcohol content of 35% ABV, it offers a pleasant smoothness without losing any of its depth or character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber with reddish highlights.

Nose: Spicy aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and toasted wood with a hint of orange peel.

Palate: Full-bodied and harmonious, with notes of caramelised sugar, nutmeg, dried fruit and a hint of smokiness.

Finish: Long-lasting and pleasantly spicy with a hint of pepper and sweet vanilla.

Rivière du Mât Black Spiced is excellent enjoyed neat over ice, but also reveals its full flavour in cocktails. Perfect for drinks such as a Spiced & Cola, Dark & Stormy or as a base for exotic tiki cocktails. Culinary, it pairs wonderfully with grilled meat, caramelised desserts or dark chocolate.
