MICHAEL Cabernet Blanc PIWI is a remarkable white wine that impressively demonstrates the innovative strength and quality awareness of the MICHAEL am Rosenberger winery. The Cabernet Blanc grape variety is one of the PIWI varieties (fungus-resistant grape varieties), which enable environmentally friendly viticulture thanks to their natural resistance to fungal diseases. This allows the winery to significantly reduce the use of pesticides and thus make an important contribution to sustainability.

This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Blanc grapes, which thrive in the mineral-rich soils of the Styrian volcanic region. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand to ensure that only the best grapes are used. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks, allowing the fruity and varietal flavours of the Cabernet Blanc to come to the fore. The bottles are fitted with a screw cap, which preserves the freshness and flavour of the wine. The wine has a drinking maturity of 2-3 years, which means that it can be enjoyed young, but also allowed to mature a little.

With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., the wine is light and refreshing without losing any of its depth.

Tasting Note

Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections in the glass. On the nose, it has an intense bouquet of green pepper, gooseberry and citrus fruit, accompanied by subtle grassy notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with well-integrated acidity and a fine minerality that gives the wine structure. The finish is elegant and persistent, with a pleasant fruity aftertaste.

This Cabernet Blanc is ideal as an aperitif and goes wonderfully with light starters, Asian cuisine or fresh salads. It is also an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes or goat's cheese. Its fresh and aromatic character makes it the perfect wine for summer occasions or social evenings.
