The Kracher winery is located in the "Seewinkel" region of Burgenland in Austria. Thanks to the warm and humid climate, the evaporation from the lake and the evening mist, the conditions here are ideal for Botrytis cinerea, the basis for outstanding sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen. Gerhard Kracher continues to run the winery with the same dedication. In addition to the famous Trockenbeerenauslese wines, the winery also offers Beerenauslese, Auslese, ice wine and small quantities of dry white and red wine and is considered one of Austria's best-known wineries.

The Kracher Beerenauslese Cuvée is made from Welschriesling and Chardonnay grapes that thrive on gravel and sandy soils. The wine matures 80% in steel tanks and 20% in large wooden barrels and is aged for 16 months. With its ageing potential until 2036, this cuvée can develop its flavours in the best possible way.

Tasting Note

Light yellow with silver reflections in the glass. Intense aromas of honey, ripe stone fruit and delicate herbal spices on the nose. Elegant and balanced on the palate, with juicy flavours of yellow fruit and mandarins. A lively acidity frames the flavour. Long and persistent on the finish.

The Beerenauslese is a very good accompaniment to desserts, spicy curry and cheese.
