Eichenwald Der Traubendieb Blaufränkisch 2022 is an expressive and versatile red wine that achieves a harmonious balance between fruit and structure thanks to its ageing in steel tanks and large wooden barrels. The wine is powerful and elegant at the same time. The fine tannins provide a pleasant texture that makes the wine particularly easy to drink.

Tasting Note

Strong, youthful red colour in the glass. Intense aromas of fresh blueberries and blackberries on the nose, complemented by a subtle spiciness. Full-bodied and well-structured on the palate, with a balanced texture that gently integrates the flavours. Long and persistent on the finish.

Residual sugar: 3.5 g/l

Drinking temperature: 16-18 °C

Traubendieb is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, game dishes or mature cheeses such as Comté or Gouda. The wine is also an excellent accompaniment to savoury stews or beef.
