The Ardgowan Clydebuilt RIVETER is an expressive bottling from the limited Clydebuilt Collection, which impressively demonstrates the craftsmanship of the up-and-coming Ardgowan Distillery. This single grain Scotch whisky was composed with great attention to detail and matured in ex-bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which give the whisky an impressive depth of flavour. With an alcohol content of 50% vol., RIVETER is powerful, round and balanced - in the style of modern premium bottlings.

Although Ardgowan's own distillery is still under construction, this whisky comes from hand-picked stocks from established distilleries and has been carefully blended in Inverclyde. The Clydebuilt series celebrates the maritime tradition of the region and, under the title "RIVETER", not only pays homage to shipbuilding, but also combines the past, craftsmanship and modern whisky blend design. The stylish gift packaging rounds off the elegant overall look of this limited edition bottling.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Complex aromas of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla cream and a fine sherry sweetness. Delicate hints of honey, wood and nutmeg.

Flavour: Full-bodied and velvety with notes of dates, sultanas, toffee, roasted nuts and fine oak spices. A subtle sweetness from the PX cask adds depth and structure.

Finish: Langs, soft and spicy with an elegant sweetness, sherry flavour and a hint of dark chocolate.

The Clydebuilt RIVETER Single Grain Scotch is an excellent accompaniment to roast poultry, game terrines or savoury hard cheese. It also unfolds its rich flavours with sweet dishes such as chocolate desserts, crème caramel or fruit bread.
