The Pierre Ferrand Réserve 1er Cru de Cognac Double Cask is an exclusive Cognac bottling based on the finest eaux-de-vie from the prestigious Grande Champagne region - the premier cru of Cognac vineyards. Produced by the traditional Maison Cognac Ferrand, this Cognac stands for artisanal excellence, loyalty to the terroir and innovative ageing.

The speciality lies in the double cask maturation: after a Langs maturation in classic French oak barrels, an additional maturation period takes place in former Banyuls barrels - a rare step in Cognac production. This second barrel maturation gives the Cognac additional complexity, depth and a fine sweetness that harmonises perfectly with the floral, fruity and nutty notes. The use of 42.3% alcohol by volume emphasises the aromatic intensity without losing its elegance.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden brown with a warm copper sheen.

Nose: Ripe apricots, dried figs, vanilla, walnut, oak and a hint of nutmeg.

Flavour: Round, harmonious with dried fruit, honey, almonds, spices and a subtle wine note from the Banyuls barrel.

Finish: Langs, soft and complex with warm oak spice and fruity sweetness.

Ideal neat at room temperature or slightly warmed in a Cognac snifter. Excellent with mature cheese, dark chocolate, cigars or as the finale to a fine meal.
