Der Kaiken Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 stammt aus dem Herzen Mendozas, Argentiniens bedeutendster Weinregion, wo die Rebsorte Cabernet Sauvignon unter idealen klimatischen Bedingungen gedeiht. Das Weingut Kaiken wurde von Aurelio Montes, einem der renommiertesten Winzer Chiles, gegründet – mit dem Ziel, das Beste beider Andenseiten zu vereinen: chilenische Expertise und argentinisches Terroir.
Die Reben für diesen Wein wachsen auf steinigen, gut durchlässigen Böden am Fuße der Anden, in Höhenlagen mit kühlen Nächten und warmen Tagen. Diese Bedingungen sorgen für langsame Reifung, intensive Fruchtaromen und eine ausgezeichnete Säurestruktur. Nach der Handlese wird der Cabernet Sauvignon im Edelstahltank vergoren und reift anschließend teils in französischen Eichenfässern – was dem Wein Struktur und Finesse verleiht, ohne die Frucht zu überdecken. Der Kaiken Estate präsentiert sich im Glas in einem tiefdunklen Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase dominieren schwarze Johannisbeeren, Kirschen und Cassis, begleitet von feinen Noten von Vanille, Tabak und schwarzem Pfeffer. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Wein kraftvoll, ausgewogen und samtig, mit reifen Tanninen, guter Länge und einem würzig-fruchtigen Finale.
Ideal zu gegrilltem Rindfleisch, Lamm, würzigen Eintöpfen, Wildgerichten und gereiftem Hartkäse. Auch solo ein Genuss für Liebhaber intensiver, strukturierter Rotweine. Perfekt für Grillabende, herbstliche Menüs oder als kraftvoller Begleiter zu dunkler Schokolade.
