Jägermeister is a world-famous herbal liqueur speciality from Germany that is steeped in tradition. With an alcohol content of 35% by volume, it impresses with its unique blend of 56 exquisite herbs, roots, flowers and fruits, which give it its unmistakable flavour. The original recipe has remained unchanged since it was first produced in 1934 and is still closely guarded today.

Production begins with a careful maceration of the botanical ingredients, followed by several months of maturation in oak barrels to perfectly harmonise the flavours. The result is a complex, deeply flavoured liqueur with a balance of sweet, bitter and spicy notes. Jägermeister is traditionally served iced at -18 °C as a shot, but is also an excellent base for cocktails and long drinks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep dark amber with warm brown tones.

Nose: Intense herbal bouquet with notes of cinnamon, Ingwerer, orange peel and clove.

Flavour: Full-bodied and spicy, with a perfect balance of sweetness, bitterness and fine herbal nuances.

Finish: Long-lasting, with a fine herbal flavour and light sweetness.

Jägermeister is ideal as an ice-cold shot, but also unfolds its complex flavours in cocktails and long drinks. The Jägermeister Mule, in which it is served with ginger beer and lime, is particularly popular. The Jägerbomb, mixed with an energy drink, is also a classic. In culinary terms, it harmonises perfectly with grilled meat, spicy cheese or dark chocolate, which complement its spicy and sweet notes.
