The history of Benromach begins in 1898, when the distillery was founded in the Speyside region of Scotland. After several years of operation and a period of inactivity, the distillery was taken over and restored in 1993 by Gordon & MacPhail, an independent bottler. It was reopened in 1998 by Prince Charles. Since then, Benromach has enjoyed a renaissance and is now renowned for its handcrafted whiskies, which preserve the traditional art of whisky distilling.
