The angel motifs on the labels are a hallmark of Montes and symbolise inspiration, protection and vision. The architecture of the winery also reflects this: here, Chilean wine-making tradition meets international standards of excellence.

The modern winery in Apalta was built according to Feng Shui principles and relies on natural gravity rather than pumps. The wines mature in French oak, often accompanied by Gregorian chant – a symbol of harmony and craftsmanship of the highest order.

Montes is committed to water conservation, natural vegetation and biodiversity in the vineyard. The winery is regarded as a model for sustainable viticulture in South America.

Montes cultivates vineyards in some of Chile’s finest wine-growing regions, including Apalta in the Colchagua Valley, as well as Aconcagua, Itata and Maule. Apalta, in particular, with its cool microclimate and steep slopes, is ideal for elegant, well-structured red wines.
