Brugal 1888 Ron Reserva Doblemente Añejado is a high-quality premium rum from the Dominican Republic, with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle. What sets it apart is its elaborate double cask ageing process, which involves the careful combination of two different types of cask. First, the rum is aged in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak, followed by a second ageing phase in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
