Bokma Oude Genever is a classic Dutch spirit that takes up the centuries-old Genever tradition. Produced in the Netherlands, this Oude Genever is characterised by its high malt content and the balanced combination of juniper and other botanicals. The term "Oude" (old) does not refer to the ageing process, but to the traditional production method, which must contain at least 15% malt wine. This gives it a creamy texture and a fine balance between malty, spicy and slightly fruity flavours.

Bokma Oude Genever is produced according to a 19th century recipe, refined with high-quality grain and careful distillation in copper stills. At 38% vol., it offers a pleasant, smooth mouthfeel with a subtle juniper note and a fine spiciness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Malty with notes of juniper, sweet grain and fine herbs.

Flavour: Soft and round with aromas of grain, vanilla, honey and a light spiciness.

Finish: Medium-long, smooth and pleasantly malty with a hint of oak.

Bokma Oude Genever can be enjoyed neat or on ice to emphasise its traditional flavour. It is ideal as a base for classic cocktails, such as a Genever Collins or a Holland Negroni. In combination with mild cheese, roasted nuts or smoked fish, it develops its depth particularly well and brings out the typical malt and juniper flavours perfectly.
