Cordon Negro is a well-known example of the Spanish cava tradition, produced in accordance with the strict guidelines of the D.O. Cava (Denominación de Origen Cava). Key requirements include a minimum ageing period of 12 months in the bottle and the use of specific grape varieties from the renowned Penedès wine-growing region.Parellada, Macabeo and Xarel-lo are the three main grape varieties traditionally used in the production of Spanish Cava.

Presented in a matt black bottle, Cordon Negro is often served as an aperitif or enjoyed on special occasions such as weddings and birthdays.

Tasting Note

A pale lemon-yellow colour in the glass. On the nose, aromas of blossom honey, citrus fruits and yeast-based pastries. Well-integrated effervescence, with flavours of honey, apples, pears and freshness on the palate. Very full-bodied and complex. A long-lasting and clean finish.
