Bumbu XO Handcrafted Rum 40% Vol. 0.7 l stands for opulent rum art with Caribbean roots and modern precision. For this bottling, the Bumbu brand draws on a historic rum recipe from the 16th and 17th centuries, which was originally developed by sailors in the West Indies. Today, Bumbu XO is produced in Panama, where the finest sugar cane is distilled and the rum is processed with great care.


Maturation takes place over a period of up to 15 years in selected oak barrels before the rum receives its final finish in Spanish ex-sherry barrels. This combination of Langs ageing and sherry refinement gives the handcrafted rum its distinctive depth, elegant sweetness and complex structure. The ageing under tropical conditions intensifies the barrel interaction and ensures a particularly round, soft character that clearly sets Bumbu XO apart from classic molasses rums.
