Ron Malecon takes its name from the famous ‘Malecón’ seafront promenade in Havana, the capital of Cuba, which is renowned for its lively atmosphere and historical significance. The brand was founded by Marco Savio, an Italian rum specialist whose passion for high-quality rum laid the foundations for Ron Malecon. Ron Malecon is distilled in Panama from molasses using the traditional Cuban method, employing copper column stills.

Malecon Selección Espléndida 1987 is an exclusive vintage rum from the renowned Rum Malecon range, made exclusively from rum produced in 1987. This special bottling is characterised by its purity, as it is bottled without the addition of colourings, thereby preserving the rum’s authentic character and natural quality.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber.

Nose: Notes of coffee, exotic fruits and vanilla.

Palate: Smooth, maple syrup, fruit, hints of pepper and cherries, a touch of tobacco.

Finish: Long-lasting, spicy.
