Rum Nation produces rums from various countries and regions, with each bottling reflecting the unique characteristics of its country of origin. In 1999, the Rum Nation Rare Rums range was launched to showcase particularly rare and high-quality rums. These bottlings are produced by the independent bottler Rossi & Rossi in Italy, renowned for its expertise and high standards of quality. Through a combination of careful selection and traditional craftsmanship, Rum Nation creates rums that delight connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

Rum Nation Demerara No. 14 is produced in British Guiana from the finest sugar cane molasses and impresses with its complex blend of different vintages, distilled in both traditional pot stills and column stills. The rum is primarily matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak, which lend it a creamy sweetness and velvety texture. To further emphasise its spicy character, the blend is finished for 12 months in fresh sherry casks – Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso.

A small proportion of very old Enmore rums is finally added to lend the blend additional complexity, depth and elegance.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Intense, myrtle, bergamot tea.

Palate: Sugar cane molasses, dark chocolate, dried raisins, black tea, gentian root.

Finish: Long-lasting, sweet and slightly bitter.
