Islay Mist The Original Peated Blend 40% vol. 0.7 l is a traditional blended Scotch whisky that showcases the characteristic smokiness of the Scottish island of Islay in a harmonious and approachable form. This blend was originally created in the 1920s to make the powerful aromas of a typical Islay whisky more mellow and rounded. The base is made up of single malts from Islay, primarily from the renowned Laphroaig Distillery, whose distinctive peaty smoke defines the character of this blend. These are complemented by selected Highland and Speyside malts, as well as grain whiskies, which provide balance and a pleasantly smooth texture. Bottled at 40% ABV, the Islay Mist Original is a well-rounded, approachable whisky that conveys the typical Islay style with maritime, peaty and spicy notes, without being overwhelming.
