La Hechicera comes from the Spanish and means "the enchantress". This rum reflects the seductively beautiful nature of Colombia, the biodiversity of the Caribbean, the marvellous landscape and the irresistible charm of a nation. Giraldo Mituoka began his career harvesting sugar cane during the Cuban revolution. By chance, Mituoka ended up on the coasts of Colombia, where he finally began to perfect his craft. The first bottling in the Experimental series is dedicated to a fine rum from Colombia with a Moscatel finish. The rum is a blend of rums that mature for between 12 and 21 years in American white oak barrels. A finish of several months in ex-Moscatel wine barrels gives this rum its distinctly complex and tropical-fruity character. Bottled: July 2019Limited to 7,200 bottles!

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber.

Nose: Intense, notes of tropical fruit, roasted pineapple, ripe bananas, pecan nuts.

Flavour: Plums, spices, vanilla, butterscotch, hints of marzipan and spices.

Finish: Langs, balanced, dry oak.
