The Jack Ryan HADDINGTON 11 Years Old is an 11-year-old single malt Irish whisky, 46 per cent ABV, in a 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box. This bottling forms the second part of the Jack Ryan Generation Trilogy, which also includes Toomevara and Finisher’s Touch. The Haddington is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing an additional finish in old rum casks from Guyana. This combination blends classic bourbon cask maturation with the influence of South American rum casks, giving this Irish single malt a distinctive character. A total of just 3,500 bottles were bottled, each individually numbered and signed by Eunan Ryan.


The Jack Ryan Haddington Rum Cask Reserve thus combines a clear age statement, a distinctive cask finishing and a strictly limited edition. It also holds a special place within the Generation Trilogy thanks to its Guyana rum cask finish. Its quality was recognised with a gold medal at the 2021 Irish Whiskey Awards in the ‘Single Malt 11 years and younger’ category. The other two editions of the Generation Trilogy also won gold medals at the Irish Whiskey Awards and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition respectively. With 11 years’ maturation, 46% ABV and just 3,500 numbered bottles, the Haddington is aimed particularly at connoisseurs of limited-edition Irish whiskies with a rum cask finish.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold to amber.

Nose: Crunchy granola and dried berries with subtle baking spices and ripe plantain.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with crunchy nougat, peach strudel, creamy toffee and toasted oak, complemented by a hint of ripe banana.

Finish: Medium-length, smooth and harmonious with pleasant spice and gently fading woody notes.

The Jack Ryan Haddington 11 Years Old is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of still water. For savoury dishes, it pairs well with roast pork, duck or medium-strength mature cheeses, whose spicy notes harmonise well with the rum cask character. For sweet accompaniments, we recommend banana desserts, peach cake, nougat, roasted nuts or desserts featuring toffee and caramel. As a limited-edition release, this whisky is also ideal for Irish whisky tastings, special occasions or as a digestif after a meal.
