This exceptional liqueur has its roots in the Mayan culture and is made according to a centuries-old recipe that combines the sweet, aromatic notes of honey, aniseed and rum.
The basis for this liqueur is fermented honey from the Xtabentún flower, a wild white flower native to the Yucatán region. The Mayas already used this honey for ceremonial drinks. The combination with aniseed and high-quality rum creates a sweet and spicy liqueur with intense, exotic flavours that captures the rich heritage and natural treasures of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Colour: Golden amber colour with a light, honey-coloured shimmer.
Nose: Intense and sweet with floral honey notes, accompanied by spicy aniseed and a hint of tropical spices.
Flavour: Soft and full-bodied with a harmonious combination of sweet honey, spicy aniseed and the light warmth of the rum. The floral notes of the Xtabentún flower lend it an exotic elegance.
Finish: Langs, velvety and pleasantly sweet with a lingering honey and aniseed flavour.
Casa D'Aristi Xtabentún Liqueur can be enjoyed neat on ice to emphasise its complex sweetness and spicy aniseed notes. It is a popular ingredient in traditional Mexican cocktails, especially when mixed with coffee, which gives it a particularly velvety flavour. A classic is the combination with freshly brewed espresso to create a real "Maya Coffee".
