The Douglas Laing Rock Island Sherry Edition Small Batch Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited-edition special release from the renowned Rock Island range by the independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co. in Glasgow. This special edition combines maritime elegance with the rich sweetness of a sherry finish and has been bottled in small batches at 46.8% ABV – naturally, it is non-chill-filtered and contains no colouring agents, to preserve its authentic character.


The Rock Island Sherry Edition is based on a blend of exquisite single malts from the Scottish islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, all of which are renowned for their smoky, maritime-influenced style. Following careful maturation in traditional oak casks, this whisky was given an expressive finish in sherry casks, lending it additional depth, complexity and fruity sweetness. The interplay of salty sea air, delicate smoke and the warm aromas of dried fruit and chocolate makes this blended malt an exceptionally harmonious delight – powerful, elegant and unmistakably typical of the islands.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with reddish-golden highlights.

Nose: Sweet and maritime at the same time, with notes of sherry, raisins, peat smoke, salted caramel and dark chocolate.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex with flavours of dried fruit, spices, cocoa beans and subtle smoke, rounded off by a delicate oakiness.
