Doorly's XO Fine Old Barbados Rum 43% Vol. 0.7 l + GB comes from the renowned Foursquare Distillery on Barbados and is one of the bottlings with a strong character that impressively reflects the island's traditional rum craft. This rum matures for a total of around ten years: it is first aged in selected oak barrels before receiving an intensive finish in sherry barrels. This two-stage barrel maturation gives it its aromatic depth and unmistakable, harmonious structure. The rich amber colour with golden reflections is noticeable as soon as it is poured, an indication of the long barrel ageing and the distinctive character of this rum. The fruity, exotic flavours are combined with a delicate sweetness and are reminiscent of the tropical origin of the distillate.
