James Fleming founded Aberlour Distillery in 1879 in the heart of Speyside, a region recognised worldwide for its world-class whiskies. The location, picturesquely situated at the confluence of the Lour Burn and the River Spey and nestled in the impressive landscape of Ben Rinnes, was carefully chosen. The crystal clear, soft spring water, which flows over the pink-coloured Granit of Ben Rinnes and comes from nearby springs, gives Aberlour whisky its unmistakable character.

Aberlour 12 Years Old Single Malt matures for at least 12 years in carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks and American oak barrels. This double maturation subtly combines the unique characteristics of the two cask types to create a rich and complex Speyside single malt.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber with ruby reflections.

Nose: Soft, rounded, fruity aromas of red apples.

Flavour: Balanced, fruity, fine sherry aromas, rich in chocolate.

Finish: Langs, warm, sweet, spicy.
