This brandy is made from high-quality, carefully selected brandy and is matured in a composition of sherry casks, in particular casks that were previously filled with Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry. This long maturation in Solera casks gives the Cardenal Mendoza a complex, deep aromatic structure characterised by dried fruit, oak, spices and a gentle sweetness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark, shiny amber.

Nose: Intense with notes of dried fruit, nuts, spices and a fine oak note.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with caramel, toffee, chocolate and a hint of coffee.

Finish: Langs and velvety with a lingering sherry aftertaste and subtle oak spice.

Ideal neat or with a small ice cube to fully enjoy the flavours. Goes perfectly with dark chocolate, mature cheese or nuts. Also an excellent choice as a fine accompaniment to coffee or a cigar. This brandy is also ideal as a base for cocktails such as Brandy Alexander or Sidecar.
