This peated edition is characterised by its smoky intensity and the typical elegant style of Japanese whiskies.

The Tsunuki Distillery, located in a picturesque region in the south of Japan, benefits from a unique climate with hot summers and mild winters, which favours particularly expressive maturation. This single malt was distilled between 2016 and 2017 and matured in carefully selected casks before being bottled at a hefty 50% alcohol by volume. The result is a complex, peaty whisky with a harmonious balance between sweet, spicy and smoky flavours.

Finish: Langs and smoky, with spicy wood notes, a hint of liquorice and lingering malt sweetness.

Mars Tsunuki Single Malt Peated is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to enhance the complexity of the smoke and fruit notes. It harmonises perfectly with grilled meat, smoked cheese or dark chocolate with sea salt. It is also an ideal accompaniment to Japanese dishes such as yakitori, grilled fish or miso-based dishes.
