Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 is one of the best-known premium rums from Guatemala and is made from virgin sugar cane honey, which is valued for its particularly pure and aromatic character. The rum is matured using the unique Sistema Solera process, in which distillates of different ages - between six and 23 years - are married together in a selection of different oak barrels. These barrels include ex-bourbon, sherry and Pedro Ximénez casks, the combination of which gives the rum its unmistakable depth, warmth and complexity. Maturation takes place at an altitude of around 2,300 metres in the "House Above the Clouds", where the cool highland climate makes the maturation process particularly gentle and produces an exceptionally harmonious rum.

Ron Zacapa 23 is an excellent accompaniment to dark chocolate, almond biscuits, caramel desserts, crème brûlée or banana bread, as its sweet and spicy flavours elegantly complement the desserts. It also harmonises with mature hard cheese, nuts, smoky cigars or roasted coconut. It unfolds its full complexity on its own at room temperature, but is also suitable for premium drinks such as Old Fashioned with rum, Rum Manhattan, Zacapa Old Parr or as a luxurious base for dessert cocktails.
