This premium rum is produced in Guatemala, a country known for its excellent rums, and then matured in the Charente region of France, where it is aged in carefully selected cognac barrels to give it its characteristic depth and sophistication.

Mama Quilla XA Extra Añejo Rum is the result of a long ageing process that gives it a complex variety of flavours that are both sweet and spicy. Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Rich aromas of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and a fine woody note.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of chocolate, honey, spices and a hint of oak and dried fruit.

Finish: Langs and warm with a soft, slightly sweetish aftertaste of caramel and spices.

Mama Quilla XA Extra Añejo Rum is perfect on its own or with an ice cube to intensify its complex flavours. It is an excellent accompaniment to dark chocolate, especially those with a high cocoa content, as well as smoked meats or strong cheeses such as blue cheese. A strong espresso or nuts such as almonds and walnuts also complement this rum perfectly.
