In the mid-17th century, a representative of the French Crown acquired all the land on the Caribbean island and established three huge sugar cane plantations. At the start of the 20th century, the company made the transition from sugar production to the production of Rhum Agricole, a rum distilled directly from sugarcane juice rather than molasses.

Trois Rivières rums are based on this pure sugarcane juice, which gives them their characteristic flavour. This special bottling is a blend of rums that have been aged for over three years. Through this ageing process, the cuvée develops unique woody notes that set the rum apart from others.
