The Cardenal Mendoza NEBULIS Rare Cask Finished 40% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional brandy based on over 200 years of tradition at the renowned Sanchez Romate distillery. This distillery, located in the heart of the sherry-growing region in Spain, produces this unique brandy with the utmost precision and craftsmanship. The Cardenal Mendoza bears the name of Don Pedro Gonzales de Mendoza, who became famous not only for his great influence on the Spanish royal family, but also as an advisor to Christopher Columbus under the title "El Gran Cardenal de España".

The NEBULIS Rare Cask Finished is produced on the basis of the Cardenal Mendoza Clásico. This is initially matured for 15 years in former Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which already gives it a deep complexity. This is followed by further ageing in small, burnt-out 250-litre wooden barrels, which gives it an extraordinary complexity and unique aromas. The name "Nebulis" comes from Latin and means "from the clouds", which emphasises the rare and almost mystical nature of this rare Cardenal Mendoza.

The Cardenal Mendoza Nebulis is limited to just 10,000 bottles, making it a true rarity that will delight collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep, dark mahogany.

Nose: Complex aromas of Oloroso sherry, dried fruit, caramel and spiced oak, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.

Flavour: Rich and velvety with a harmonious combination of fruity notes, woody accents, roasted nut core and a subtle sweet spiciness.

Finish: Langs and elegant with lingering notes of sherry, oak and a pleasant sweetness that gently fades away.
