Description
Description
Mossburn Distillers are launching 2 new peated blended malt Scotch whiskies. The Caisteal Chamuis whiskies are named after a mysterious ruin on the east side of Knock Bay on Skye.
Caisteal Chamuis, also known as Knock Castle or Castle Camus, was a strategic fortress that helped the Clan MacLeod to secure its rule over the Sleat peninsula on Skye. The first elements of the castle were built in the 13th century on the site of an Iron Age fortress called Dun Thorabhaig. The ruins of the castle, which can be seen today, tell of its rich and eventful history.
Caisteal Chamuis blended malt Scotch whisky is a blend of single malts from the Isle of Skye from the Talisker and Torabhaig distilleries. This whisky is finished in first fill bourbon casks.
