This exceptional collection represents the collaboration between Hernan Parra, Dictador’s Master Blender, and leading experts from other spirits categories. In this special edition, Dictador joins forces with Drew Mayville, the Master Blender at the renowned Barton 1792 Distillery in the USA, which is known for its high-quality bourbon and rye whisky.

This fine rum combines decades of ageing with innovative cask finishing. It is composed of selected rums from the 1979 and 1982 vintages, which have been aged in Colombia for between 40 and 43 years. For the final finish, they were aged in rye bourbon casks from the Barton Distillery. This finish lends the rum exceptional depth, warm vanilla notes, spicy rye accents and a subtle hint of oak, which underlines its complex character.

With just 150 bottles worldwide, this bottling is one of Dictador’s most exclusive rums and a true collector’s item. The elegant presentation in a high-quality gift box (GB) emphasises the luxurious character of this unique rum.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with golden highlights.

Nose: Intense aromas of caramel, vanilla and oak, accompanied by spicy rye and toffee notes.

Palate: Full-bodied, velvety and complex, with notes of honey, dark chocolate, candied fruit and a subtle peppery spice from the rye bourbon cask.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and complex with elegant nuances of wood, spice and toffee.

This premium collector’s rum is best enjoyed neat to experience its multi-layered flavours in all their intensity. It pairs superbly with dark chocolate, roasted almonds or a fine cigar.
