Perfect Circle whiskies are produced by Shiki Shuzo Co. Ltd. in Japan. This distillery collaborates with many local Japanese distilleries. Shiki Shuzo is an independent company which has a business relationship with Matsui Shuzo, the producer of Kurayoshi whisky.

‘Enso’ is a sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism and means ‘circle’. This calligraphy is traditionally drawn with a single brushstroke and is not altered afterwards. This whisky bears this sacred Japanese symbol, which was designed by the Japanese calligrapher Juju Kurihara, who also heads the ‘Sosekido’ school in Japan.

Maen Perfect Circle Whisky is a blend of malt and grain whiskies, distilled two to three times in copper pot stills and aged for between three and five years. It is matured for eight years in American white oak bourbon casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Brilliant amber.

Nose: Fruity, with notes of citrus and vanilla.

Palate: Warm, spicy, notes of nuts, white pepper, honey, almonds and juicy apricots.

Finish: Long-lasting, with a hint of sweetness.
