The Naga Malacca Indonesian Spirit Drink 40% ABV 0.7 l transports you to tropical climes with every sip and evokes the exotic flavours of Indonesia. This unique spirit is based on molasses, rum and a variety of spices, and is enriched with kumquat, jambu and natural extracts of kumquat peel, lemongrass and coriander. This combination gives Naga Malacca a fruity, spicy flavour profile that really comes into its own in tropical cocktails, but is also superb when enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

Naga Malacca is produced using a particularly slow fermentation process with yeast strains, resulting in an exceptionally complex array of flavours. The spirit is made from rice mash, with the blend distilled partly in traditional Indonesian pot stills and partly in modern column stills. The double maturation – first in local teak casks and then in American ex-bourbon casks made of white oak – ensures remarkable depth and complexity. Naga Malacca is therefore a true all-rounder, which not only captivates with its unique character but is also the perfect choice for hot summer’s days.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber, with a golden sheen.

Nose: A spicy, inviting blend of mandarin, kumquat, cloves and pepper, which emphasises the exotic character of this drink.

Palate: Exotic and fruity, with flavours of clementines, kumquat, lime and a hint of nutmeg and lemongrass, which unfold harmoniously.

Finish: Long-lasting, with a pleasant spiciness that rounds off the experience.

Naga Malacca is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks. For a tropical cocktail, it can be mixed with fruit juices such as pineapple or passion fruit, or used in classic cocktails such as a daiquiri or mojito to give them an exotic twist. Naga Malacca also pairs perfectly with grilled fish or spicy dishes, enhancing the flavours of the food.
