With an alcohol content of 46% ABV and bottled in the classic 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box (GB), this whisky embodies authenticity, heritage and character. The name ‘Coire Leis’ refers to a mountain lake near the distillery, from which the spring water used in production is sourced – a clear indication of this Highland bottling’s regional ties.

The whisky is matured in carefully selected American oak casks and offers a full-bodied flavour profile with a successful combination of fruitiness, spice and a delicate oak structure. Bottled without chill filtration and retaining its natural colour, Coire Leis is aimed at connoisseurs of honest, unadulterated single malts with good body and depth. Tasting Note

Colour: Gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Malt, honey, roasted nuts, ripe pear and a hint of vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied and rounded with toffee, spices, caramel, dried fruit and a hint of oak.

Finish: Medium-long, warming and slightly dry with spice and honeyed sweetness.

Can be enjoyed superbly neat or with a few drops of water. Pairs wonderfully with hazelnut desserts, light caramel creams or even a strong Cheddar. Also ideal as a dram to accompany a relaxed evening or for whisky tastings.
